Administrative Levels
The Etrinix® Command Matrix™ offers 3 levels of
administration:
i. Server Admin Level
ii. Reseller Level
iii. Site Admin Level
Server
Admin Level:
The Server Admin Level is for the server administrator. Access
to this level allows the user to perform the following tasks:
o Complete control over the server and services running on the
server (WWW, FTP, SMTP, etc.)
o Creating/Managing reseller plan templates with different
limits and resources designated.
o Creating/Managing reseller accounts, assigning limits to
resellers (for example: sites a reseller can create, number of
a particular addon a reseller can resell ..etc.)
o Managing DNS records
o Manage Add-ons (ASP.NET, ASP, ODBC, FP Server Extensions,
Perl, PHP, etc.)
Reseller
Level:
The Reseller Level is for individuals or businesses who
purchase bulk hosting from the server owner and resell to
their clients. Access to this level allows the user to perform
the following tasks:
o Creating/Managing site plan templates with different limits
and resources designated.
o Creating/Managing hosting accounts, assigning limits (for
example: number of pop3 users allowed, allow/disallow addons
..etc.)
o Manage FTP accounts,
o Manage Mail accounts
o Access Web-mail via Etrinix® Mail Matrix™
o Manage IIS custom errors for the site
o Manage IIS application mappings for the site (.html, .asp, .php,
.xyz, etc.)
o Manage subdomains(www.domain.com, xyz.domain.com, etc.)
o Add/Remove, Activate/De-activate available add-ons
o Manage ODBC DSNs (dBase, Excel™, MS Access™, MS SQL™
Text, etc.)
Site
Admin Level:
The Site Admin Level is for individuals or businesses
that subscribe to the hosting services of either the reseller
or the server owner. Access to this level allows the user to
perform the following tasks:
o Manage FTP accounts
o Manage your files online using the File Manager
o Manage Mail accounts
o Access Web-mail via Etrinix® Mail Matrix™
o Manage IIS custom errors for the site
o Manage IIS application mappings for the site (.html, .asp, .php,
.xyz, etc.)
o Manage sub domains (www.domain.com, xyz.domain.com, etc.)
o Activate/De-activate available add-ons
o Manage ODBC DSNs (dBase, Excel™, MS Access™, MS SQL™
Text, etc.)
Mail users created at any one of these levels can manage their
mail account options via the Etrinix® Mail Matrix™
interface (if installed). They can update their passwords, apply filters,
create auto-responders and forwarders and perform other
general maintenance tasks for their mailboxes.
